Samatha Townsend

Founder

Samantha, a true Idahoan born and raised, is the visionary owner and founder of Rarefied! Her journey into the world of modeling and acting began at the early age of 16 when she was scouted in a local mall. Eager to practice her craft, Samantha pursued extensive etiquette, modeling, and acting training, signing her first modeling contract at just 17. In addition to her thriving career in the entertainment industry, Samantha is deeply committed to serving her community in the healthcare field. From working 12-hour shifts on Covid units to advancing within the local St. Luke’s Health System as she furthers her education in healthcare, Samantha’s dedication to helping others shines through in every aspect of her life.

Her passion for the industry led her to compete in Miss Idaho, where she secured the 2nd runner-up position in 2019—an achievement she’s poised to surpass in future competitions. Samantha’s versatility shone through as she seamlessly transitioned into promotional modeling for both major household brands and beloved local businesses. A familiar face on the runways of the Treasure Valley, Samantha has graced numerous fashion shows, as well as created her own, the “Your Voice is Heard Fashion Show!” It was during these experiences that Samantha discovered her true calling: nurturing the talents of the creative community. From hosting workshops and training for aspiring actors and models to coaching pageant contestants, Samantha’s dedication to fostering excellence knows no bounds—all of her mentees have achieved placements in the top 5. Her exceptional leadership skills were recognized when she was appointed as the Runway Director for Boise Fashion Week, a role she thrives in.
